I recently had the pleasure of spending 7 1/2 days aboard a fishing charter with Bat, fishing the Great Barrier Reef 100 miles off the east coast of Cape York. They were the among the most enjoyable days of fishing I have ever experienced.
Being with Bat magnified the fun and excitement of catching trophy fish, snorkleing amongst the coral and the fish on the reef and just being on the water. With Bat as our fishing guide, we were introduced to the secrets of fishing the Reef. Bat has extensive knowledge of the various species of fish to be found on the Reef, their likes and dislikes, how to fish them, which lures to use and when to use them, where the fish like to hide and how to coax them out.
I have never before caught as many fish than I did on that week-long trip with Bat. Even during the times when the fish weren't biting, Bat kept the boat alive with tales of the area, fishing lore, jokes and stories about any and everything. Bat will see to it that you never have a dull moment on the water or in his presence. You cannot go wrong scheduling a fishing excursion with the Batman. I guarantee that you will have a great time, even if the fish aren't biting (but with Bat as your guide, you're sure to catch your share).
My entire group had nothing but praise and good things to say about our time with Batty. I travelled half way around the world to fish the Outer Reef. Thanks Bat, for helping to make my Cape York holiday a truly memorable one. It really was a once in a lifetime experience.
Thanks again, David \"DC\" Chan Sacramento, CA

Hi Bat,
Just a quick note to say thanks again for yet another fantastic trip.
From memory I think it was our 4th time out and as always it was a blast.
Great to yet again fish somewhere different along with the old favourite spots. The location and experience alone does it for us with all those big fish caught just a great bonus.
Anyway thanks again for the fun & laughs and we’ll see you next time.
Cheers
Rog & Jan

Gday Bat,
Hows things?
Thanks for the great day on the water. It was my first successful deep sea fishing adventure off the awesome spot of Punsand Bay. You showed Wayne and I the best time with laughs, mentoring, cheers and FISH to feast on. The strain on the line of my first trevally was a great workout for the arms. Thanks to your patience and guidance we reeled them in one after the other. Wayno is still stoked with his first 16kg Spanish Mackerel! My mackerel would have been bigger but was eaten by that bloody shark, but hey, that was all a part of a great fishing day with you.
I will recommend you to ‘fisher people’ of all ages and levels, who are travelling to the Cape. Your brilliant outlook on life, knowledge and professionalism guarantees a fantastic day fishing off our amazing Cape York Australia.
Cheers to ya Bat. Thank you for the smiles and memories of our fishing adventures. I look forward to more.

Hi Bat,
I have put the photos taken on my camera of our sensational days fishing onto a disc. Please e-mail me your postal address and I will send them up.
Everyone has been pretty impressed with the photos and are envious of the fish. I had a fantastic day – in fact the next day I bought the paper to check the death notices to see whether I had died and gone to heaven.
I hope your run of good days out are continuing.
Tight lines & Regards
Maurice
